Section 691-4-13 - Waste Disposal Requirements
A. A registered manufacturing facility must account for and dispose of all marijuana waste in a manner that prevents unlawful diversion and does not violate any other applicable federal, state or local laws and regulations governing the handling of waste.
B. All marijuana waste must be weighed and recorded from the time it becomes waste until the time it is disposed of in a secured receptacle in the registrant's possession.
C. Marijuana waste must be rendered unusable and indistinguishable from non-marijuana waste by breaking up, grinding, unpackaging, combining and mixing with other solid waste.
D. Once marijuana waste is rendered unusable and indistinguishable, it must be placed in a secured receptacle in registrant's possession until it is disposed of in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
E. A registered manufacturing facility may not dispose of marijuana waste in any other way unless such disposal is in conformance with another method approved by the Department or its designee.
