Subsection 222-1-160-01 - LICENSE RENEWAL CRITERIA1. An Inspection Technician shall submit an application for renewal prior to the expiration date of the license. NOTE: To ensure timely processing, the application should be submitted thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of a license. An application will not be accepted as complete unless it includes all materials required for licensure. Information regarding current fees for license renewal may be obtained from the Inspection Unit.
2. A person may renew a license for up to 180 days following the date of expiration. The 180-day period does not postpone the expiration date of the license. Inspection Technicians whose licenses have lapsed as of the expiration date cannot exercise the privileges of the license until a renewed license has been issued.3. An application submitted more than 180 days after the license expiration date shall be considered an application for a new license and subject to all requirements governing new applications, with the exception that an examination is not required if application is made within one year of expiration.
