Section 481-3-7 - Upgrading Certificates for Installers Certified under these RulesAn installer initially certified after May 18, 1990 may upgrade his or her class by accomplishing the following:
A.Demonstrating to the Board Training and Experience Comparable to Completion of Appropriate Apprenticeship. The applicant must complete a sufficient number of apprenticeship projects to accumulate 1000 experience points as outlined in Section 4 of this chapter. For this purpose, an apprentice can apply projects used in his or her initial apprenticeship. A fee for processing of $100 will be assessed at the time the applicant indicates his or her desire to pursue a class upgrade; andB.Passing the Final Written Examination. Following completion of apprenticeship, the applicant must pass the final written or oral examination, as described in section 5 of this chapter.
