Section 071-180-16 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE; STATE MODEL PEPG SYSTEM

1. The Department shall provide technical assistance to school administrative units in developing, piloting and implementing PEPG systems, including, but not limited to: an online bank of tools, training and resources for use in developing, piloting and implementing PEPG systems; posting of approved PEPG systems and system tools; and technical assistance in refining and revising PEPG plans. The Department shall develop at least one complete State Model PEPG system for teachers and at least one complete State Model PEPG system for principals.

2. The Department shall implement a system of monitoring and providing feedback and support based on information gathered through the monitoring system. Ongoing monitoring will include the collection of data including but not limited to:

A. The aggregate summative ratings for each school.

B. The process for and frequency of observation and feedback

C. Opportunities for targeted professional growth and improvement

D. The specific measures included in summative effectiveness ratings

E. The use of ratings for employment decisions

F. The mechanism for sustaining the PEPG system

G. Evaluator and educator training programs
