Consistent with 12 MRSA, Section9601, the Director will approve spark arresters certified by the United States Forest Service, Department of Agriculture. The Director finds such spark arresters to be effective in preventing the escape of sparks, carbon deposits, and other substances likely to cause fires, provided that such arresters are maintained in accordance with section 2.
