Section VII-365 - Shrimp Records and LabelingA. Shrimp Records, Shrimp Packaging1. Wholesale/retail seafood dealers, retail seafood dealers, restaurants and retail grocers shall maintain records in accordance with R.S. 56:306.5 and 56:506. In addition to the requirements therein, wholesale/retail seafood dealers when selling or otherwise transferring shrimp shall specify on each invoice of sale or transfer required to be delivered to retail dealers, restaurants and/or retail grocers the specific country of origin of the shrimp being sold or transferred. All purchase and sales records of wholesale/retail seafood dealers, which are required to be maintained by law, shall specify the country of origin of all shrimp acquired and sold or transferred. All purchase records of retail dealers, restaurants and retail grocers which are required to be maintained by law, shall specify the country of origin of shrimp acquired or purchased. Shrimp from different countries shall be recorded separately on all records.2. All records for shrimp, which are harvested from Louisiana waters or which are landed in Louisiana from a harvesting vessel, shall indicate such shrimp are a "Product of Louisiana" or "Louisiana Shrimp" or "Louisiana (and shrimp species)."3. No wholesale/retail seafood dealer, retail seafood dealers or restaurants shall possess, package, process, sell, barter, exchange or attempt to sell, barter, trade or exchange shrimp from a foreign country which is commingled with shrimp caught in the United States or which is represented to be a product of the United States.B.
