Section III-101 - Purpose of Rule
A. This rule establishes procedures by which governmental entities may nominate water supply and water pollution control projects for priority of funding through specific legislative appropriation for the purposes indicated in R.S. 38:32 B(11). The rule also defines the procedures by which the Office of Public Works (OPW) shall rank in priority order of funding the various projects nominated by governmental entities, based on the recommendations (Regional Reports) of the state's eight regional planning commissions. OPW shall submit an annual report of this recommended project priority ranking to the governor, the house Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works and the senate Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget by January 15 of each calendar year.
