Section I-1925 - Tow Truck Load Limitations; SpecificationsA. Load Limitations 1. No tow truck operator shall tow or transport another vehicle unless the tow truck is capable of safely towing the vehicle.2. A tow truck and its load shall not exceed the capabilities of the towing vehicle or hinder its ability to safely accelerate, stop, or maneuver.B. Specifications 1. At no time shall a slide back tow truck or car carrier, transporting a vehicle on its bed, exceed its manufacturer's GVWR or the manufacturer's rated capacity for the towing assembly.2.
