Section XII-213 - Site ProtectionA. The stations critical components that could be damaged or contaminated by inundation shall be: 1. elevated to a minimum of two foot above the 100-year flood elevation, or protected to such elevations including the use of a levee system;2. readily accessible at all times unless permitted to be out of service for the period of inaccessibility;3. graded around the station so as to lead surface drainage away from the station;4. protected to prevent vandalism and entrance by animals or unauthorized persons. The pump station should be located within a secure area such as a locked building or fenced area;5. labeled such that the pumps and valves in the station are tagged to correspond to the maintenance record and for proper identification.La.
