Section XV-26501 - PurposeA. The Medicaid Program shall provide coverage and reimbursement for labor and delivery services rendered by free-standing birthing centers (FSBCs). Stays for delivery at the FSBC are typically less than 24 hours and the services rendered for labor and delivery are very limited, or nonexistent, in comparison to delivery services rendered during inpatient hospital stays.La.
