Section XI-3105 - Advanced Emergency Medical TechniciansA. In addition to the requirements of R.S. 40:1232, any hospital, ancillary medical facility or ambulance service, whether public or private, may conduct a program utilizing any certified emergency medical technician-intermediate or certified emergency medical technician-paramedic to supervise and direct the delivery of emergency medical care to the sick and injured at the scene of an emergency during transport to a hospital, while in the hospital emergency department, and until care responsibility is assumed by the regular hospital staff.La.
