Section I-4287 - General Safety PracticesA. A center shall not maintain any firearms or chemical weapons where participants may have access to them.B. A center shall ensure that all poisonous, toxic and flammable materials are safely stored in appropriate containers that are labeled as to the contents. Such materials shall be maintained only as necessary and shall be used in such a manner as to ensure the safety of participants, staff and visitors.C. The center shall not have less than two remote exits.D. Doors in means of egress shall swing in the direction of exit travel.E. Every bathroom door lock shall be designed to permit opening of the locked door from the outside in an emergency, and the opening device shall be readily accessible to the staff.F. Unvented or open-flame heaters shall not be utilized in center.G. All exterior and interior doors used by participants shall be at least 32 inches wide.H. All hallways/corridors shall be at least 36 inches wide.I. At least one primary entrance shall be accessible to people with disabilities or impairments.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-4287
