Section XXV-301 - PurposeA. These rules are adopted in accordance with the public interest of assuring the continued existence of accessible, affordable health care facilities that are responsive to the needs of the communities in which they exist. In that regard, the state has a responsibility to protect the public interest in nonprofit hospitals by making certain that the charitable assets of those hospitals are managed prudently pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 40:2115.11 through 2115.22.B. These rules are adopted to further Louisiana's goal of controlling health care costs and improving the quality of and access to health care for its citizens.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § XXV-301
