Section I-5201 - IntroductionA. A pediatric day health care (PDHC) facility serves medically fragile individuals under the age of 21, including technology dependent children who require close supervision. These facilities offer an alternative health care choice to receiving in-home nursing care. A PDHC facility may operate seven days per week and may provide up to 12 hours of services per day per individual served.B. The care and services to be provided by the PDHC facility shall include, but is not limited to: 1. nursing care, including but not limited to tracheotomy and suctioning care, medication management, IV therapy, and gastrostomy care;3. physical, speech, and occupational therapies;4. assistance with activities of daily living;5. transportation services;7. education and training.C. In addition to the provision of care and services, the PDHC facility shall also function as an emergency shelter as provided in these licensing regulations.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-5201
