Section XLV-1515 - Consent to Examination; Waiver of Privileges ; Examining Committee of PhysiciansA. An applicant or physician assistant shall, by applying for or accepting licensure under this Chapter, be deemed to have given his consent to submit to physical or mental examinations when so directed by the board and to waive all objections as to the disclosure or admissibility of findings, reports, or recommendations pertaining thereto on the grounds of privileged communication or other personal privileges provided by law.B. The board may appoint or designate an examining committee of physicians, possessing appropriate qualifications, to conduct physical and mental examinations of a physician assistant, to otherwise inquire into the physician assistant's fitness and ability to provide services with reasonable skill and safety to patients, and to submit advisory reports and recommendations to the board, when the board has reasonable cause to believe that the fitness and ability of such physician assistant are affected by mental illness or deficiency or physical illness, including but not limited to deterioration through the aging process or the loss of motor skills, and/or excessive use or abuse of drugs, including alcohol.La.
