Section LXXV-133 - Independent PracticeA. Licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists, by virtue of academic coursework, clinical practicum, and professional experience, are qualified to engage in the autonomous or independent practice of the professions. Individuals who hold a license, i.e., provisional, restricted, assistant or provisional assistant, mandating supervision during the practice of the professions may not engage in the autonomous or independent practice of audiology or speech-language pathology.La.
