Section LI-601 - Scope of ChapterA. The Sections of this Chapter govern the prescription and dispensation of drugs, chemicals, and medications by optometrists. These Sections are not intended to alter or modify the effect or applicability of state and federal laws and regulations governing the acquisition, possession, maintenance, prescription, dispensation, or administration of, or accounting for, legally controlled substances and other drugs and medications, but are complimentary and supplementary to such laws and regulations.La.
