Section XIX-3703 - DefinitionsA. Unless the context otherwise requires, the words defined in this Section shall have the following meanings when found in this order.Horizontal Oil Well- a well with the wellbore drilled laterally at an angle of at least 80 degrees to the vertical and with a horizontal displacement of at least 50 feet in the pool in which the well is completed for production, measured from the initial point of penetration into such pool.
Maximum Efficient Rate (MER)- the maximum sustainable daily oil withdrawal rate from a reservoir which will permit economic development and depletion without causing waste.
