Section XI-9921 - Neurectomy or Cryosurgical InterventionA. When a claimed horse has had posterior digital (heel nerve) neurectomy or cryosurgical intervention in the areas reserved for posterior digital neurectomies, performed prior to the claim, the claimant shall have 48 hours from the moment the horse leaves the paddock to protest the claim in writing to the stewards. Cryosurgical intervention in the areas reserved for posterior digital neurectomies shall be considered "heel nerved."La. Admin. Code tit. 35, § XI-9921
