Section V-7103 - Division of Prizes; Dead Heat for Second and ThirdA. When two horses run a dead heat for first place, all prizes to which first and second horses should have been entitled shall be divided equally between them. This applies in dividing prizes, whatever the number of horses running a dead heat. Each horse shall be deemed a winner and liable to penalty for the amount he shall receive. Likewise, when two horses run a dead heat for second place, they shall divide the second and third money.La. Admin. Code tit. 35, § V-7103
