Section IX-9311 - Minimum Weight in Age Exclusive RacesA. When a race is for 2-year-olds, or exclusively for 3-year-olds, or exclusively for 4-year-olds, the minimum weight shall be 112 pounds, subject to sex and apprentice allowance. This rule shall not apply to handicaps, or stakes, or to races in which 3-year-olds or 4-year-olds compete with older horses. Nor shall this rule apply to quarter horses.La. Admin.
