Section XV-548 - Permanent Radiographic InstallationsA. Permanent radiographic installations having high-radiation area entrance controls of the type described in LAC 33:XV.436.A and B shall also meet the following requirements: 1. each entrance that is used for personnel access to the high radiation area shall have both visible and audible warning signals to warn of the presence of radiation. The visible signal shall be activated by radiation. The audible signal shall be activated when an attempt is made to enter the installation while the source is exposed; and2. the control device or alarm system as described in LAC 33:XV.436.A and B shall be tested for proper operation at the beginning of each day of equipment use. If a control device or alarm system is operating improperly, it shall be immediately labeled as defective and repaired before industrial radiographic operations are resumed. Records of these tests shall be maintained for inspection by the department for three consecutive years from the date of the event or until disposition is authorized.La. Admin. Code tit. 33, § XV-548
