Section V-4043 - Notification

A. Identification Numbers. Used oil processors and re-refiners who have not previously complied with the notification requirements of LAC 33:V.Chapter 40 must comply with these requirements and obtain an EPA identification number.

B. Mechanics of Notification. A used oil processor or re-refiner who has not received an EPA identification number may obtain one by notifying the Office of Environmental Services of their used oil activity by submitting a completed Louisiana Notification of Hazardous Waste Activity Form (HW-1).

C. Upon promulgation of this Chapter, used oil processors and re-refiners who have previously notified must renotify the Office of Environmental Services of used oil activity.

D. Used oil processors and re-refiners must notify the Office of Environmental Services within seven business days if any of the information submitted in the application for the identification number changes.
