A. Effective July 1, 1968, it shall be the order of the Louisiana Stream Control Commission that no oil field wastes, including salt water, produced by gas or oil field operations in the state of Louisiana shall be allowed to drain or flow into waters of the state except: 1. salt water may be disposed of in normally saline waters, tidally affected waters, brackish waters or other waters unsuitable for human consumption or agricultural purposes. Where quality of receiving waters is not clearly brackish, saline or tidally affected, or unsuitable for human consumption or agricultural purposes, individual judgment shall be rendered by the Stream Control Commission; and2. as further provided under the applicable rules and regulations of the Department of Conservation.B.
