Section I-367 - Presiding Officer's DecisionA. When a presiding officer renders a decision on the merits in an adjudication, a copy thereof shall be filed with the secretary. It shall also be served by certified mail or by hand upon each party to the proceedings.B. A decision on the merits by the presiding officer shall become final and effective as to any party 30 days after service unless said 30-day period is interrupted by the filing of: 1. a petition for reconsideration, reopening, or rehearing pursuant to Subsection C of this Section; or2. a motion for review by the secretary pursuant to LAC 33:I.369.C. Pursuant to R.S. 49:959, any party may request a rehearing, reopening of the record, or reconsideration of a decision on the merits (in whole or in part) of the presiding officer if such request is filed with the administrative hearings clerk within 10 days from the date of its entry.La.
