Section CXIII-301 - Employment RequirementsA. Any person hired or contracted to transport or assist in the transportation of students to and from school or school-related activities must meet certain requirements. This applies to full-time school bus drivers, substitute drivers, activity bus drivers, and bus attendants. Mechanics, supervisors, or other personnel who are licensed to drive school buses but do not actually transport students must fulfill the requirements of the commercial driver's license (CDL) statutes. They may not otherwise be required to fulfill all requirements specified in this Section.B. Employment applications and job descriptions must meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.C. Specific job requirements necessitate specialized training for driving personnel and for bus attendants or aides before they are employed and during the entire terms of service in the transportation program. Each LEA shall be responsible for ensuring specific requirements for local school bus drivers are in accordance with state and federal requirements. La. Admin. Code tit. 28, § CXIII-301
