Section III-4771 - Emergencies and/or Natural DisastersA. All previously certified and registered peace officers who have retired from full time law enforcement service for five years or more will be granted the authority to serve as "provisional peace officers" for the agency from which they retired during a state of emergency within a declared emergency zone. The provisional peace officer applicant must successfully qualify with his/her duty weapon as soon as possible with a P.O.S.T. certified firearms instructor.La. Admin. Code tit. 22, § III-4771
