Section 92-51-22 - Registration period beginning date; fee due

The date of the assignment or reassignment of a manufacturer's certificate of origin or certificate of title shall be the beginning date of a registration period. The registration fee shall be due on that date, but may be paid at any time during a period of not to exceed 30 days, inclusive of weekends and holidays, after the assignment or reassignment. If the registration fee is not paid within the period of time prescribed by this regulation, the penalty for the late payment of the fee shall be computed from the date of the assignment or reassignment.
