Section 61-3-4 - Permit to operate a barber school or college; annual fee; proof of financial responsibility

Any person, firm or corporation may apply to the state board of barber examiners for a permit to establish and operate a school or college of barbering. Such permit shall be issued only upon proper and sufficient showing of the character and competency of the applicant with the requirements of these rules and regulations, and upon payment to the board of an annual fee. No permit to establish or operate a school or college of barbering shall be issued to any applicant until such applicant shall have filed with the board a financial statement, duly verified by such applicant. The board shall either refuse to issue or shall suspend or revoke any permit to establish or operate a school or college of barbering of any person, firm or corporation who fails to file such statement or who makes any false statement therein.
