Section 61-1-29 - Opening of a new, relocated or change of ownership of any barber shop in the state of Kansas

No person, firm or corporation shall open or commence the operation of a barber shop in the state of Kansas until said shop has been duly licensed or has the permission of the state board of barber examiners or one of its inspectors to open. This shall include new, relocated or shops that have changed ownership. Upon receipt of said notice of opening, the board shall inspect such barber shop, and upon approval of said barber shop and its facilities and upon receipt of the annual shop inspection and license fee, the board shall issue a shop certificate to the proprietor thereof. Any such license may be suspended or revoked or issuance denied by the board for violation of the laws of the state of Kansas or the rules and regulations promulgated by the board under authority of law.
