Section 49-50-16 - Working pressure for existing installations

(a) The working pressure on any existing installation may be decreased by the inspector if the boiler condition warrants it.

(b) If the owner or user does not concur with the inspector's decision, the owner or user may appeal to the secretary who may request a joint inspection by the chief inspector and the deputy inspector or special inspector. Each inspector shall render a report to the secretary. The secretary shall render the final decision, based upon the data contained in the inspector's reports.
