Section 28-46-44 - Sampling and analysis techniques

(a) Sampling and analysis shall be performed in accordance with the techniques specified in 40 CFR part 136 and the appendices, as in effect on July 1, 2008, which are adopted by reference.

(b) If 40 CFR part 136 does not contain sampling and analytical techniques for the parameter in question or if the sampling and analytical techniques in part 136 are inappropriate for the parameter in question, the sampling and analysis shall be performed using validated analytical methods or other appropriate sampling and analytical procedures approved by the secretary to ensure the protection of public health, safety, and the environment.
