Section 21-70-39 - New construction and alterations; definition of path of travel(a) The term "path of travel" means a continuous, unobstructed way of pedestrian passage by which the altered area may be approached, entered and exited, and which connects the altered area with: (1) an exterior approach, including sidewalks, streets, and parking areas; (2) an entrance to the facility; and (3) other parts of the facility. (b) An accessible path of travel may consist of: (2) curb ramps and other interior or exterior pedestrian ramps; (3) clear floor paths through lobbies, corridors, rooms, and other improved areas; or (4) part or a combination of these elements. (c) For the purposes of this regulation, the term "path of travel" also shall include the restrooms, telephones, and drinking fountains serving the altered area. Kan. Admin. Regs. § 21-70-39
