Rule 875-220.3 - [Effective 2/12/2025] Exclusion for employees of legislative branches(1) Individuals who are not subject to the civil service laws of their employing agencies and are employed by legislative branches or bodies of the state and its political subdivisions are excluded from minimum wage.(2) Employees of the state or local legislative libraries do not come within this statutory exclusion. Also, employees of school boards, other than elected officials and their appointees, do not come within this exclusion.Iowa Admin. Code r. 875-220.3
