Rule 875-73.11 - Counterweights

(1) Broken or cracked sections of counterweights shall be replaced.

(2) Counterweight hanger rods, tie rods or both shall firmly support and secure the counterweight sections in place.

(3) Wire ropes extending through counterweights from one stack to another shall be guarded by metal sleeves attached to the wire ropes. Stacks shall not be spaced less than 8 inches apart.
