Rule 875-1.112 - Review procedures
(1) Within 60 days after the filing of the petition, or within any longer period agreed to by the petitioner, the commissioner shall deny the petition in writing and notify the petitioner of its action and the specific grounds for the denial, or grant the petition and notify the petitioner that the commissioner will institute rule-making proceedings on the subject of the petition. Notice shall be sent to the petitioner by regular mail or email if appropriate. The petitioner shall be deemed notified of the denial or granting of the petition on the date the notification is mailed to the petitioner. Copies of the petition and the document granting or denying the petition shall be sent to the administrative rules review committee.
(2) Denial of a petition because it does not contain the required information does not preclude the filing of a new petition on the same subject that seeks to correct the deficiencies.
