Seconds shall not enter the ring until the timekeeper indicates the termination of the round and they must leave at the sound of the timekeeper's whistle before the beginning of each round. If the chief second or anyone for whom the promoter is responsible, such as a manager, enters the ring before the bell ending the round has sounded, the fight shall be terminated and the decision shall be awarded to the opponent. Seconds shall not smoke in the ring or corners and shall not wear a hat or cap while working in the corner.
