Rule 871-24.38 - [Effective 2/12/2025] UCX claims(1) Unemployment benefits for ex-military personnel, in addition to being determined in accordance with applicable Iowa law and rules, will be determined in substantial compliance with the rules and guidelines of the United States Department of Labor published in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 20, Chapter V, Parts 614 and 650.(2) These benefits are payable under the Ex-Service Member's Unemployment Compensation Act of 1958, 5 U.S.C. 8521 - 8525 . This rule is intended to implement 10 U.S.C. Sections 1141 through 1155 as amended November 1, 2024.
