Rule 761-400.42 - Church bus registration fee

. The church bus registration fee shall not apply if the bus is used in a manner other than provided by law or if ownership of the bus is transferred to a person who is not entitled to register the vehicle as a church bus.

(1) When the church bus registration fee does not apply, the bus shall be registered under the provisions of Iowa Code section 321.122.

(2) When Iowa Code section 321.122 applies and the bus is currently registered as a church bus, the registration fee shall be prorated for the remaining unexpired months of the registration year.

This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code sections 321.119 and 321.122.
