Rule 761-131.9 - Erection of no parking signs

This rule establishes procedures and conditions for the erection of no parking signs on rural primary highways.

(1)Procedures. Requests for the erection of no parking signs on rural primary highways shall be made by the Iowa state patrol or sheriff to the appropriate district office.

(2)Conditions. The signs will be furnished, erected and maintained by the department of transportation; however, they shall be removed if the department determines the parking prohibition is not enforced.
