Upon payment of appropriate fees and submission of all required documentation, the vehicle and motor carrier services bureau shall issue one IRP plate for each power unit to be mounted on the front of the power unit, one trailer plate to be mounted on the rear of the trailer, and one cab card for each power unit. The cab card may be in either a physical or electronic format. This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 326.14.
