Rule 761-4.2 - Statement of policy and purpose

It is the policy of the department that free and open examination of public records is generally in the public interest. The purpose of these rules is to facilitate broad public access to open records and sound determinations with respect to the handling of confidential records.

This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code chapter 22.
