Rule 761-641.1 - Purpose and applicability

(1) The purpose of this chapter is to establish requirements for financial liability coverage cards.

(2) This chapter applies to motor vehicles registered in Iowa or subject to registration in Iowa.

(3) This chapter does not address proof of financial responsibility under Iowa Code chapter 321A except for the issuance of financial liability coverage cards.

(4) Proof of financial liability coverage for motor vehicle dealers is addressed in 761-subrule 425.10(8).
