All results for merged area special elections, including special precinct results, shall be tabulated by school district. To tabulate the special precinct results in this manner, the county commissioner may either program the voting equipment to tabulate the ballots in this manner or manually sort and tabulate the ballots by school district.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code chapter 260C.
