Rule 661-121.7 - License and background investigation fees
(1) A fee of $100 shall accompany each application for a bail enforcement, private investigative or private security license. If the application is approved, the money shall be applied to the license fee, but if the application is disapproved, the deposited application fee shall be refunded to the applicant. Application fees shall not be refunded for abandoned applications described in subrule 121.4(5) or for canceled, suspended or revoked licenses.
(2) A nonrefundable fee to cover the cost of processing fingerprint cards through the FBI must be submitted with each new or renewal application and with each application subsequent to a license cancellation or revocation. If fingerprints are rejected as unreadable the first time they are submitted, they may be resubmitted once for no additional fee. If fingerprints are submitted twice and both submissions are rejected as unreadable, subsequent submissions shall require additional processing fees, which shall be included with the submissions. Information regarding fees may be obtained by contacting the department as provided in rule 661-121.1 (80A).
