Rule 657-39.6 - Statewide protocols

To the extent authorized in Iowa Code section 155A.46, a pharmacist may, pursuant to statewide protocols developed by the board in consultation with the department of public health and available on the board's website at pharmacy.iowa.gov, order and dispense medications pursuant to the requirements identified in the statewide protocols. For the purpose of this rule, the order shall constitute a prescription.
