In the interests of public information, health, and safety, and pursuant to the provisions of Iowa Code section 155A. 13B, this chapter establishes requirements for the Internet sale of prescription drugs by pharmacies and for VIPPS accreditation. This chapter identifies specific information that must be displayed on a pharmacy Internet site and establishes requirements for site registration. The requirements of this chapter apply to any Internet pharmacy and pharmacy Internet site as defined in rule 657-24.2 (155A).
