Rule 655-20.29 - Recording

Contested case hearings shall be recorded by electronic means or by a certified shorthand reporter. A party may request that a hearing be recorded by a certified shorthand reporter instead of through electronic means by filing a request with the board at least 14 days in advance of the hearing. Parties who request that a hearing be recorded by a certified shorthand reporter rather than by electronic means shall bear the cost of the certified shorthand reporter. Upon request, the board shall provide a copy of the whole or any portion of the record at cost. The cost of preparing a copy of the record or of transcribing the hearing record shall be paid by the requesting party. If the request for the hearing record is made as a result of a petition for judicial review, the party who filed the petition shall be considered the requesting party.
