Rule 571-40.29 - Speed and other restrictions on Brown's Lake, Woodbury County

All vessels shall be operated at a speed not greater than 5 miles per hour within the two zoned areas designated by regulatory buoys or other approved uniform waterway markers.

(1)Zone 1. Zone 1 shall extend 570 yards from the boat ramp east to the regulatory buoys and 150 yards west from the boat ramp.

(2)Zone 2. Zone 2 shall begin at the regulatory buoys located at the 24-inch steel pipe and shall extend west.

(3)Swimming. Areas may be specifically designated for swimming by the use of regulatory buoys.
