Rule 567-68.3 - Licensing requirements

Commercial septic tank cleaners must annually apply for and obtain a license from the department before engaging in the commercial cleaning of and disposal of septage from any private sewage disposal system in the state of Iowa. The license period will run from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. The owner of a septic tank may clean the owner's own tank without being licensed if all other requirements of this chapter are met.
